Event Wave was proud to again provide audio systems and support for the third annual, sold-out Code Conference. This year’s show was produced by The Trillium Creations and held in the Grand Ballroom at the Terranea resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Building on the last year’s success, this year’s audio system design once again incorporated a Yamaha CL5 console, running the latest v4 software, with a Rio-3224D I/O rack providing backstage audio. This year, the newly added Tio1608-D handled all video-related audio, including video playback, records and streaming. A Rio1608-D rounded out the audio network at FOH, handling Q&A microphones, foyer audio feeds, and more. All automixing duties were handled in-console, allowing seamless, transparent control over the multiple microphones onstage at any given time.
After a successful deployment in 2015, Event Wave again provided Shure ULX-D wireless microphones. These microphones provided enhanced audio quality, flawless RF performance, and rechargeable batteries. The ultra-accurate battery telemetry, easy-to-use SBC200 docking stations, and all-day battery life were a welcome improvement from typical disposable AA batteries. Between these microphones and the BTR-800 wireless intercom with rechargeable battery kit, no disposable batteries were consumed during the week-long event.
